Clothing temp in Sept. 40-75 degrees F. (t-shirt/briefs, light weight shirts, pants, vest, socks, one warm fall coat in along with other miscellaneous items during the day. Clothing temp in Oct 32-72 degrees F. (same clothing items)

BY SEA:

Marine Atlantic operates year-round superferry service between North Sydney, Nova Scotia, and Channel-Port aux Basques in southwest Newfoundland. Crossing time is about five hours in summer, and seven hours in winter. There is also a summer service between North Sydney and Argentia on Newfoundland's Avalon Peninsula from mid-June to late September. Lewisporte to Labrador:

Coastal Labrador Marine Services operates a ferry service from Lewisporte, Newfoundland, to Labrador. The ferry service operates from mid-June to mid-September, but June sailings are sometimes delayed due to ice conditions. The ferry, which carries automobiles, docks at Cartwright and Happy Valley-Goose Bay, and the one-way trip takes about 35 hours. For reservations and information, please contact:
